Squats
Every day is leg day. Squats should be a part of every fitness program. This workout tackles your quads, hamstrings, and glutes, along with your heart, abs, and back. Remember, focus on form not weight. When you get your form down, the weight will come. On the flip side, if you have poor form and go heavy, it could result in injury.
Deadlift
Everyone loves the deadlift. There is no cheating in deadlift No spotter. Either you hit the weight or you don’t, that simple. A deadlift is going to increase muscle mass throughout the entire body. It’s going to burn calories and help build solid strength.
Lunges
Love them or hate them, lunges work the lower body hard. Lunges are going to do wonders for your hamstrings, quads, and stretch your hips out. Walking lunge is a great and healthy movement (Coach loves the lunges at Fenix).
Front Squats
Fronts squats require a little bit of a different form then the back squat, but it works the body in different ways. Feeling like you need a challenge? Add a pause in the squat and see how you do. Start out light and work your way up to a heavy set.
Spilt-Squat
The spilt-squat can be done a few different ways. With a barbell, with dumbbells, or body weight. No matter how you do them, spilt-squats make for a great finisher. It’s going to burn but it’s going to work those quads and calves like a machine.
Remember, change it up. It there is a workout that hurts you or poses a risk for injury, find something different. Be sure to speak with a coach if something is starting to bother you.
