In a recent article, we discussed the importance of food, meal prep, and making sure your food decisions line up with your goals.
In this article, we are diving into a few more tips for those who are training, but not quite seeing the results they’re looking for.
Here are few more things to keep in mind if you aren’t seeing the results you want as you train.
Don’t Rush Progress
The biggest mistake that people make is believing they are going to achieve their fitness goals in a short amount of time. It’s not going to happen.
Training takes time and that time requires consistent effort from you. People who rush the process do a couple of things.
1. They burn themselves by going to hard to fast
2. They hurt themselves by going too heavy to fast
3. They give up because they aren’t rocking the perfect bod in less than a month
Come into training with the mindset that it’s going to take time. But if you want it, if you are willing to stick with it, you will see the results you’re looking for.
Supplements
Supplements can be a great aid in your effort to achieve your fitness goals. Things like protein and creatine can help enhance performance. That being said, it’s important to know which ones are good and are wise to be taking. This is where a fitness expert can help you find that is best for you.
Training for Endurance
When it comes to endurance training, food and proper hydration play a huge role. It’s demanding of your body, which means you need to be prepared for it. Most training programs do a good balance of both cardio and weight training. For example, Fenix does conditioning once a week, with other condition type exercises mixed into the weight training.
Focus on Form
Most people get hurt because they don’t use proper form when lifting. We see it all the time. We believe that first comes form, then comes weight (lifting). Focus on getting the form right and we promise, the heavyweight will come. You’ll be lifting heavier, better, and safer. You get that form down, the sky is the limit on what you can achieve on the bar.
