The majority of success achieved in life is due to preparation.

Whether it’s a business plan, a training program, and reach personal goals, everything begins with sitting down and making a plan to get there.

Most things start with a big plan or what we would call a goal. After that, smaller plans are made to reach that goal and preparation takes place.

When it comes to training, having a plan throughout the week is vital to success. It’s not enough to have a goal, but you need the plan and the prep to get there. Here are few things that you need to think about going into your week.

Food Prep

It’s not just about how much you’re lifting, but what you’re eating before and after you lift. Having the right food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is crucial to reaching fitness-focused goals. Meal prep can solve a lot of the problems people run into during the week. When food is not prepped or prepared, most end up eating things we shouldn’t. We didn’t make lunch, so we go out. We don’t have time to for breakfast, so we skip it. And the list goes on. Taking time to meal prep and getting those meals ready for the week can make a difference in your training.

Hydration

Making sure you are getting enough water throughout the day needs to be top of mind. Every person should be drinking half their body weight in ounces of in water. Having that with you at work and at home is going to ensure you’re getting the water that you need. Considering investing in a container that needs to be filled up only once or twice to get the amount of water you need.

Training Schedule

Consistency wins the game. Having selected days to train and keeping up with that schedule is going to help you achieve what you need. Find the days that work the best, the times, and stick with it! Staying on schedule and being in it for the long-term will help you stay fitness focused.

Combined all these things together and you’ll start to see a change in your body, your mindset, and your life.
